Chikara first gained prominence in 2019 at the age of just 16 when he set a world record by scoring 585 runs in 167 deliveries, including 52 sixes and 55 fours, for Mahi Cricket Club during a 40-over match in the Shaheed Ramprasad Bismil Smriti Open Cricket Tournament. Prior to this, the record was held by South Africa’s Shane Dadswell, who scored 490 runs in a 50-over match in 2017 at the age of 20. 3 | |
In the inaugural UPT20 league in August-September 2023, Chikara played for Meerut Mavericks and ended as the second-highest run-scorer, amassing 494 runs at an impressive average of 70.57 and a strike rate of 173.33 in 9 innings slamming three centuries and two half-centuries. 4 | |
