By the time I got to college in Chandigarh, I was very active on Facebook and began to get offers for music videos. It just happened like that. I don't think I told anyone. I couldn't have said it to anyone in the family anyway because no one would have accepted it. I belong to a typical Haryanvi, Jat family. My music video was released and my father said 'It's Kannu'. He asked me to return home since he felt I wasn't interested in studies. I was in Punjab earlier and doing my Bachelor's when I got a call for a show called Badho Bahu. I did it for 6 months before Guddan. So I auditioned from Chandigarh only. When I got to Mumbai, I straight began to shoot. I am blessed that way. I didn't have to figure out things. I went back to do my Master's but then I got a call for Guddan right before my exams." | |
