Rishabh Pant is an Indian cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper batter for Indian cricket team. Rishabh Pant was born on October 4, 1997 to Rajender Pant and Saroj Pant in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. He also has an elder sister, Sakshi Pant.
His father, Rajender Pant was also a wicketkeeper-batsman and played cricket at university level. But due to poor financial condition he was not able to get proper training and could not play cricket beyond club level. Rishabh fulfilled his father's dream of playing cricket for the country. 3
At the age of 12, he used to travel with his mother to New Delhi during the weekends to get trained under Tarak Sinha at the Sonnet Cricket Academy.

Rishabh Pant hit an 18-ball fifty during 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, the fastest at Under 19 level.
He scored fastest century in the Ranji Trophy, from just 48 balls against Jharkhand on November 8, 2016.
He became third-youngest Indian to score a triple century in first-class cricket when he scored 308 runs in an innings against Maharashtra during 2016–17 Ranji Trophy.
His father, Rajender Pant passed away at the age of 53 at his home in Roorkee on April 5, 2017 due to a cardiac arrest.
In December 2018, he made the record of "most catches in a test match" when he took 11 catches in India vs Australia test match in Adelaide.
In December 2018, he became second indian wicket-keeper batter after mahendra singh dhoni to score 300 runs and take 15 wicketkeeping dismissals in a series. He scored 350 runs & took 20 catches in Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
He was chosen as ICC Emerging Player of the Year in 2018.
In 2018, Pant got off the mark in Test cricket with a six in his debut Test at Trent Bridge & became the first indian player to hit a six as the first scoring shot on Test debut.
On September 11, 2018, he became the second-youngest wicket-keeper and the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a Test century in England.
In 2018, the delhi lad also became the first Indian wicketkeeper and seventh overall to score a century in the fourth innings of a Test match.
In May 2018, he scored 128* from 63 balls in an IPL match. It was the highest individual score by an Indian cricketer in a Twenty20 match at that time, but later broken by K. L. Rahul who scored 132 runs for Kings XI Punjab.
In February 2021, Pant was named the Men's Player of the Month by ICC.
On 30 December 2022, Rishabh Pant survived a near-fatal accident at around 5.30 am when his Mercedes GLE car crashed into the road divider and caught fire on the Delhi-Dehradun highway at Narsan in Haridwar district. He managed to escape after breaking the windscreen of the car before being helped by the driver and conductor of a Haryana roadways bus.
Pant was driving alone from Delhi to his home in Roorkee to surprise his mother ahead of the new year. The cricketer suffered cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his knee and several other injuries on his wrist, legs, and back. 4
