Rajendra Pant was the father of cricketer Rishabh Pant. He also has a daughter named Sakshi Pant, who is very popular on social media and has over 100k followers on instagram.

Rajender Pant passed away at the age of 53 at his home in Roorkee on April 5, 2017 due to a cardiac arrest.

Rajendra Pant was also a wicketkeeper-batsman and played cricket at university level. But due to poor economic condition he was not able to get proper training and was not able to succeed beyond club cricket. His son Rishabh Pant fulfilled his dream of playing cricket for the country.
