He was born on 15 February 2005 into a family of doctors in Solapur, Maharashtra, India. Everyone in his family, including his sister, is a doctor. His father, Dr. Atul Kulkarni is a failed cricketer himself. 1
He studied at St. Joseph School in Solapur, Maharashtra. 2
On the suggestion of his coaches, his family relocated him to a rented house in Hadapsar, Pune, where he lived with his maternal grandmother. Subsequently, he joined the Cadence Academy in Pune. He started as a leg-spinner, who can bat but looking at his physique and fitness level, his grandfather, who was a pace bowler himself, encouraged him to take up fast bowling.
Arshin showcased his all-round abilities during a Maharashtra Premier League match on 19 June 2023. He first scored a fearsome 117 runs off just 54 deliveries laden with three fours and 13 sixes to guide Eagle Nashik Titans to a mammoth score of 203/9 in 20 overs. Then he followed that up with a magical bowling figure of 4/21 in four overs to help his side to a thrilling one-run victory against the Puneri Bappa. 3

Despite playing in just three matches, Kulkarni finished the 2023 MPL as the third-highest run-scorer with 195 runs at an average of 65 and a strike rate of 195. He also picked up five wickets at an average of 12.4 and an economy rate of 6.89. 4 5

Arshin Kulkarni made his T20 debut for Maharashtra against Bengal at Mohali on 16 October 2023 in the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He bowled with great precision and claimed two crucial wickets, conceding just 22 runs in his four overs, and then scored 13 runs in 8 balls to help his team defeat Bengal by 8 wickets. 6
In the final match of the 2023 Vinoo Mankad Trophy on 30 October 2023, he struck a sensational 105 runs off 104 deliveries with eight fours and 6 sixes to propel Maharashtra to a commanding score of 316/6 in 50 overs. Then he picked up the wicket of Mumbai’s captain and opener Musheer Khan to guide his team to a convincing 115-run victory. 7
Kulkarni made his debut for India’s U-19 team against Afghanistan in the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup on 8 December 2023 in Dubai. He gave an impression of his all-round capabilities with impressive bowling figures of 8-0-29-3 and then followed that up with an assured innings of 70* from 105 deliveries to help India U19 win their opening game against Afghanistan U19 by seven wickets with 75 balls remaining. 8
Due to his ability to open the batting and bowling as a medium-pacer, the 18-year-old medium-pace bowling all-rounder is already being touted as the Next Hardik Pandya.
In December 2023, he was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for INR 20 lakh (USD 24,100 approx) in the player auction for the 2024 Indian Premier League. 9
