Tunisha Sharma was an Indian film & television actress known for Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul (2022), Kahaani 2 (2016), Baar Baar Dekho (2016) and Fitoor (2016).
She was born on 4 January 2002 in Chandigarh, India. Vanita Sharma is her mother and her father has passed away. Tunisha was the only child of her parents and she does not had any siblings.
She did her schooling from a private school in Chandigarh and later graduated from Chandigarh University.
Tunisha lost her father in 2011 when she was just 9 years old. He had liver cirrhosis. 1
In 2015, she made her acting debut as a child actor in the television show 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap' as young Chand Kanwar (Maharana Pratap's step-sister) but rose to fame after playing the role of Rajkumari Ahankara in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat (2015). She also did an episodic role in the television docudrama series 'Bhanwar' in the same year. 2
Everyone knows that Tunisha got her first break in the film Fitoor (2016) but before that she had also shot a commercial for Punjab's former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in Chandigarh. The choreographer who worked on that commercial told Tunisha's mother that your daughter is very talented and they should come to Mumbai. She was also selected for Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick (2014) starring Salman Khan but her mother rejected that movie as she did not wanted to cut Tunisha's hair.1
She made her film debut with Fitoor (2016) and later starred in Baar Baar Dekho (2016) playing Katrina Kaif's younger version in both the movies. In the same year, she played the role of Vidya Balan's daughter Minnie in Kahaani 2 (2016).
In 2017, she starred as Mehtab Kaur in the television show 'Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh'.
She was diagnosed with depression and anxiety issues in the early days of her career and she credited her best friend Kanwar Dhillon for helping her in fighting depression. 3

Tunisha Sharma also portrayed the role of Aadhya Verma in Internet Wala Love (2018-19), Zara in Ishq Subhan Allah (2019-20) and ASP Aditi Jamval in Hero - Gayab Mode On (2021).
In May 2021, she was featured in the music video of ManavGeet Gill's song 'Sardari: Chapter-1'.
Sharma was featured in the music video of Vishal Mishra's song 'Pyaar Ho Jaayega' in September 2021.
Tunisha was seen with Mohsin Khan and Ribhu Mehra in the music video of the song 'Nainon Ka Ye Rona Jaaye Na' by Raj Barman in December 2021.
In 2022, she started playing the lead role of Shehzaadi Mariam in the TV series 'Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul' opposite Sheezan Mohammed Khan. Tunisha and Sheezan became close while working on the show and started dating each other.
She was seen with Paras Arora in the music video of Raj Barman's song 'Tu Baithe Mere Samne' in February 2022 and the duo was again featured in the music video of Raj Barman's song 'Paani Na Samajh' in March 2022.


In March 2022, Tunisha was featured in the music video of the song 'Mann Basiya' by singers Stebin Ben & Samira Koppikar.
In April 2022, Sharma was seen with Abhishek Nigam in the music video of Abhi Dutt's song 'Heeriye'.
On 24 December 2022, Tunisha Sharma committed suicide by hanging herself in Sheezan's make-up room on the set of her show 'Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul'. She was just 20 years old and would have turned 21 on January 4.

Her mother, Vanita Sharma accused that her co-star and ex-boyfriend Sheezan Mohammed Khan used the actress for three to four months and even denied marrying her. She also alleged that Sheezan used to beat Tunisha and was forcing her to adopt Islamic practices. Sheezan was booked under IPC Section 306 for abetment to suicide and was taken into custody by the police. Police ruled out 'Love Jihad' angle in this case. 4

During questioning by the Maharashtra police, Sheezan said that he broke up with Tunisha after seeing the consequences from Shraddha Walkar's murder by her live-in boyfriend Aaftab Poonawala. 5

While addressing a press conference, Sheezan's sister Falaq Naaz accused Tunisha's mother Vanita Sharma of neglecting her and also stated that Tunisha's depression was due to her childhood trauma. 6
