Lekha Washington is an Indian actress, anchor, sculptor, and product designer. She has worked in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada language films.
Lekha Washington was born on April 30, 1984 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to Kenneth Washington & Geeta Washington. Her father is of mixed Burmese, Italian and Punjabi ancestry and her mother is a Maharashtrian.
She did her schooling from The Good Shepherd School, Chennai. Later she graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Stella Maris College, Chennai.
After that she did a course in Lifestyle Product Design from the The National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and later did Film and Video Communication course from the same institute.
She worked as an anchor to an analysis and interview show during the maiden season of the Indian Premier League in 2008. She is a huge fan & supporter of Chennai Super Kings in IPL.
In 2011, she founded a product design studio called "Ajji- The Odd Product Company". The studio is now known as "Lekha Washington Studio" and is located at Upstairs Studio, 14,Veronica Street, Behind A-1 Bakery, Bandra (West) Mumbai Pin: 400050.
She wrote the lyrics for two songs: "Shimmy Shake" and "Be Still" for the movie Rangoon (2017).
Lekha Washington married Pablo Chaterji on November 18, 2017.
