She was born on 11 November 2014 into an assamese family to Randhir Sinha, a police officer and his wife Himadri Gogoi in Guwahati, Assam. She is the only child of her parents and does not has any siblings. | |
| In 2021, she participated in the dance reality show 'Dance Deewane 3' which aired on Colors TV and emerged as one of the 6 finalists. Piyush Gurbhele from Nagpur was declared as the Ultimate Winner. Aman Kumar Raj (Ranchi), Somansh Dangwal (Uttarakhand), Sohail Khan (Aligarh), Soochana Chorge (Mumbai), Papai Dutta Roy & Antara Sardar (Barasat), Arundhati Garnaik (Mumbai), Pallavi Tolye (Mumbai), Saddam Shaikh (Mumbai), Sahil Khan & Anjali Mamgai (Delhi), Creative Dance Crew (Mumbai), Uday Singh (Neemuch), Jamna Dathiya (Mumbai), Presha Shah (Ahmedabad), Panvelkars (Panvel), Yogesh Asabvale (Mumbai), Ajay Phalke & Shilpa Phalke (Kolhapur) were the other contestants on the show. During 'Dance Deewane 3' there was a controversy after a clip from the show went viral in which Raghav Juyal was seen talking in gibberish Chinese to Gunjan Sinha. Raghav started receiving hate comments on the social media and was called a racist by people. Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also posted a tweet condemning the episode, saying that 'racism has no place in our country'. However, Gunjan's father Randhir Sinha came out in support of Raghav and said, "I can shed light because I was the part of the show. She learnt to speak Chinese by watching YouTube. When she was asked about her talent on the TV show, she said she could speak Chinese. They asked her to speak Chinese. That's why it's mentioned in the script. Not because she is from Assam. People are wrongly reacting on social media. If there was anything along those line, I would have taken a stand, since we all are from Assam.
