Dishani Chakraborty is the adopted daughter of Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali. He has 3 elder brothers Mahaakshay Chakraborty, Ushmey Chakraborty and Namashi Chakraborty.
In the 90s, Mithun read the story about a baby girl who had been left by the roadside, near a dustbin by her parents in a bengali newspaper. He expressed his desire of adopting her and his wife Yogeeta Bali also backed his decision to adopt dishani.
