Aditi “Dot” Saigal is an Indian Musician turned Actress known for The Archies (2023). She was born on 21 September 1998 to rock musician Amit Saigal and theatre artist Shena Gamat in New Delhi, India. Aditi is the only child of her parents and does not have any siblings. 1

She graduated with a joint honors degree in music and creative writing from Bangor University in Bangor, Wales, United Kingdom. After that, she pursued a master’s in education, studying curriculum and policy from Glasgow University. 2 3
Her parents mutually divorced on 12 December 2006. 1
Her father, the late Amit Saigal also known as ‘Papa Rock’ for his contribution to rock music was the founder of India’s first rock magazine ‘Rock Street Journal’. Amit Saigal died tragically at the age of 47 by drowning while swimming off Bogmalo beach in Goa on 5 January 2012. 2 4
She started playing piano when she was just 6 years old and has been writing her own music since she was 12. 2

In 2017, she surprised the indie music industry with a homemade song ‘Everybody Dances to Techno’. The song went viral on YouTube and Aditi was appreciated for her soulful voice. 3
In July 2021, she released her first Extended play (EP) ‘Khamotion’. 5
Aditi Saigal aka Dot is making her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023) alongside Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda. She is most probably playing the role of Cheryl Blossom in the movie. In addition to acting, she has also contributed to music and even sung some of the songs for ‘The Archies’. 6
